joe holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Illinois Champagin-Urbana and spent the better part of his adult life performing for audiences large and small. he has performed for audiences of 200+ people, but some of his favorite shows and experiences have been when audiences numbered at 20 or under—something he lovingly defines as the Chicago actor’s version of a “Chicago Handshake.”
some of Joe’s favorite collaborators include The SlamFam Ensemble, Mudlark Theatre Company, Organic Theatre Company, Red Tape Theatre, Chicago SlamWorks, MOZAWA, and The Right Brain Project.
in addition to his work on stage, joe served as the Managing Director and resident Graphic Designer at The Right Brain Project from 2012 to 2017. joe then joined Red Tape Theatre in 2018 as an Ensemble Member and one of the Marketing Managers until early 2022. joe was also an Ensemble Member at Chicago SlamWorks until its dissolution in 2017 and would go on to form The SlamFam Ensemble in 2021 with many of his SlamWorks collaborators.
