joe has been writing since he was in the fifth grade and decided to make serialized stories for his friends, which he’d pass out every month at their Boy Scout meetings in the basement of a church. the stories weren’t very good, but joe kept writing and eventually got pretty good at it, at least enough for people to start reading his work and voraciously asking for more.
joe is currently seeking representation for his first novel The Painted Gods, a YA godpunk fantasy about teenagers who learn they are reincarnations of deities with artistically-influenced powers. he is also currently writing a horror novel for adults about millennials and the internet, which has the working title Oblivion Machine.
beyond books, joe is also a playwright. he wrote and produced his first play The Dancing Plague, commissioned in 2016 by The Right Brain Project. he then developed new plays through workshops at both The New Coordinates and Red Tape Theatre in 2019 and 2022, respectively. during the covid-19 pandemic, he also co-wrote, produced, and also lent his acting talents to the short film don’t @ me (please) with the SlamFam Ensemble.
joe’s plays are available to read on the New Play Exchange.
